Role overview:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager seeking to make a big impact within a Not for Profit organisation. The role is a member of Stride’s Leadership team and is considered a finance subject matter expert to support Stride’s strategy and staff to provide the best consumer outcomes. Reporting to the GM Corporate Services, you will lead and manage the Finance team to ensure that:

• Financial management and accounting of the organisation is developed and executed in such a way as to maintain financial sustainability.
• Collecting, interpreting and reviewing financial information for all required reporting periods
• Completing financial audits, insurance reviews and quarterly financial compliance reporting
• Producing financial reports related to budgets, acquittals, account payables, account receivables, expenses, cashflows etc.
• Creating, reviewing, monitoring and managing budgets
• Developing strategies that work to minimise financial risk
• Accountability for payroll and Stride assets
• Liaising with management and internal and external stakeholders
• Providing financial subject matter expertise and advice on business decisions

Requirements:

• Tertiary level education in Accounting and registration with CA, CPA or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Finance Manager leading a multifunctional team
• Experience in the NFP sector or community sector would be highly regarded, especially in an NDIS and grant funded environment
• Demonstrated project management experience and exposure to asset management
• IT systems experience as it relates to accounting (experience with Concur, Quick Books and Micropay Sage – desirable)
• Great communication skills, including communicating financial data to the leadership and management teams that is easy to understand
• Demonstrated experience in leading payroll, process design and enhancement
• Pragmatic and practical approach that meet the organisation’s financial requirements
• Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a WWCC
• Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance
