About the Job

We are looking for a talented Financial Planning Analyst to join our team. This role will report to the CEO.

What You’ll Do

Responsible for working with the leadership team to develop operating and financial plans for the organization

• Key responsibilities include working with the CEO and Operations on the budget, forecast, month-end close, and reporting functions
• Work with our outsourced Finance and Accounting firm to complete financial accounting and forecasting
• Deliver reports and metrics to leadership and provide valuable insights to improve them
• Provide analytical and strategic support on key Finance team deliverables:
• The annual budget, monthly review, and variance analysis
• Financial analysis and invoicing of client projects, products, and subscriptions
• Financial analysis of internal projects
• R&D allocations and tracking
• Advisory Board materials preparation
• Quarterly reporting

• Work with existing finance / accounting team to build a solid understanding of our business model, revenue streams, and opportunities and help develop internal-facing and external-facing projections
• Help build projections for individual revenue streams and aggregates at the company level
• Test assumptions, identify key drivers and determine our sensitivity to variations in the key drivers
• Manage and improve our internal controls
• Oversee the revenue cycle function, including billing through invoices
• Track and monitor client project margins and billable hours of team members
• Work with leadership to refine key finance processes (including Budgeting & Forecasting, Budget to Actual reviews and reporting) with a focus on continuous improvement
• Work closely with the Finance and Accounting team on aligning overall company strategic goals with financial operating plans for the business
• Build strong relationships with business leaders & stakeholders throughout the organization
• Work alongside the team as needed on key initiatives which may include building financial models or ROI analysis
• Other key responsibilities including tracking budget, forecast, month-end close, and reporting functions

• Manage and improve our internal controls without introducing additional overhead:
• Oversee the revenue cycle function, including billing through invoices
• Subscription management
• Purchasing approvals, expense reporting, and reimbursements
• Approvals of vendors’ invoices
• Credit cards

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance or related field
• 2+ years of relevant experience in finance with an accounting background
• Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Detail-oriented and analytical
• Ability to present analysis to senior leadership and working cross functionally with multiple departments

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
