We are currently searching for a Linux System Administrator to support our internal IT group. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining and upgrading applications, servers and associated systems, serving as an escalation point for the Desktop Support team and creating and building documentation for the IT Systems team.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES :

• Install, upgrade, and maintain Linux (RHEL7,RHEL8, RHEL9, Debian12)applications, servers, and associated systems.
• Scripting and automating existing command line processes using BASH, Ansible, Python, or other similar tools
• Assist in operating the production VMware environment consisting of vSAN
• Create and build upon existing documentation for specific applications and / or servers and versions that pertain to the IT Systems team.
• Install and maintaining physical servers inside of Data Center racks along with cabling and cable management as necessary.
• Perform other duties as requested

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an equivalent or related role
• Preferred, not required : Linux Foundation Certifications, Red Hat Certified System Administrator
• Experienced using and troubleshooting basic Windows issues and basic to intermediate issues with Linux operating systems, with command line.
• Skilled with building a working computer using compatible components.
• Attention to detail and working with complex systems.
• Capable to work effectively on their own with little supervision.
• Ability to develop, test and implement solutions to unique or unusual problems detected during troubleshooting.
