Opportunity for long-term employment. Full-time, year-round, permanent position in an incredible ranch location in Steamboat Springs Colorado. Top applicants submitting resumes will learn more about the role of this position in a unique working environment at a privately owned, shared ranch community. For a glimpse of our operation, check out stormmountainranch.com.
Storm Mountain Ranch is a 1,100-acre residential ranch development that has been divided into only 14 parcels. Of the 1,100 acres, 800 are held in a conservation easement to preserving the natural environment agricultural heritage and ensuring continued agricultural operations. With only 14 owners it is a very low key, quiet atmosphere. We have a very small staff (only 3 full-time) with a few summer seasonal hands to help with summer projects. Although low key, we have a very high standard and insist on doing it a little better than we have to. The ranch maintains a herd of horses that are used to provide trail rides for the owners. This is an incredible piece of land featuring 5 ponds, 4 streams, big fish, 10 miles of trails, summer grazing, horses, fishing, hiking, a canyon, 100 foot waterfall, abundant wildlife, plenty of wild remote country, cross country skiing, Steamboat Ski Area and the City Of Steamboat Springs are only 5 minutes away.
It is important to know that we do not operate as a guest ranch. We do not rent facilities or provide services to the public. The primary role of the staff is to provide these services to the owners and their families and guests as well as manage and care for our land, water, livestock (including fish), and ranch facilities.
