Stonebridge Academy Hiring for Middle School Math and Science Teacher at Okmulgee, OK Full Time

Stonebridge Academy is a nonprofit, independent, accredited school for P3 through 8th grade, located in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, 40 minutes south of Tulsa. The focus of Stonebridge Academy is on the family atmosphere where every child is valued as an individual. Stonebridge offers a unique classroom environment with no more than 15 students per class, and there is no high-stakes testing required at our school. Technology is accessed through computers, chrome books, iPads, and Smart Boards. Although these are an integral part of Stonebridge’s curricular framework a balanced academic schedule still encourages diversified teaching and learning styles. Extracurricular opportunities are provided for students both during and after school focusing on the arts, technology, academics, and culture.

This position is for a middle school math and science teacher. Due to Stonebridge Academy’s small class sizes, the grades are usually combined in the middle school. Therefore this position will be for 5th/6th science and math and 7th/8th science and math. These classes will still have no more than 15 students in them. Teachers are responsible for writing lesson plans, classroom management, and assessing student work, among other duties.

Experience is preferred but not required. Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree or higher and teacher certification.
