Stock Executive Search Hiring for PRODUCT DESIGNER – Kids Accessories at New York, New York Full Time

We are seeking a Product Designer, Kids Accessories coolers, Bags to contribute to the overall seasonal trend and product development, creating collections for the brands we work with. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who understands the children’s market.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ideal candidate would:

• 5-7 years bags design experience

• Strong understanding of customer and trends

• Expert level knowledge of bag construction, fabrics, trims

• Extensive understanding of manufacturing and processes

• Extensive understanding of current print and embellishment processes

• Ability to hand sketch

• Strong sense of style and color

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to create digital concepts

• Self-directed with a high sense of urgency, attention to detail, and follow through

• Ability to multitask and operate in a fast-paced environment

ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO

• Closely track emerging trends and contribute to seasonal trend direction including digital boards, mockups.

• Execute original design concepts in close partnership with Creative Directors. Translating seasonal concepts and direction into key items and collections.

• Create detailed digital renderings of designs including detailed views for review in design meetings and for inclusion in tech packs.

• Manage styles from concept to completion including but not limited to selection of fabrics, trims, fittings, construction methods, pattern development, and updates with Production Team.

• Work closely with Production and Sourcing Teams to execute innovative development within budgetary guidelines, lead-times, and minimum order requirements.

• Regularly review samples and production providing feedback and direction for Production Team.

• Create and maintain tech packs in close coordination with Design Coordinators and Production Team.

• Present concepts, protos, and final samples to Creative Directors and Merchant Teams.
