Stirling Marathon Hiring for Product Manager, Refrigeration at Elora, ON Full Time

Located in Elora, Ontario, Stirling Marathon is a family owned and growing Manufacturer/Wholesaler of appliances that recently announced plans to build a new refrigeration facility at our Elora headquarters to re-shore manufacturing of several refrigerator models currently imported from China. In support of this expansion, we are seeking a talented Product Manager to join our Team and be hands on in product design, manufacturing processes, procurement, certifications and approvals and quality control.

Reporting directly to the President the ideal candidate will work closely with our Engineering, Manufacturing, Service and Sales/Marketing Teams to develop new, exciting refrigerator products from concept to production.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Finalizing designs and bill of materials for new products
• Researching and procuring approved parts for manufacturing
• Analyse component sourcing vs. vertical integration and make recommendations
• Work closely with Project Manager and Manufacturing Team for costing
• Research advanced manufacturing processes for efficiency and sustainability of new products
• Research and recommend environmentally friendly packaging options
• Research, confirm and apply for NA certification of products, knowledge of standards, energy verification cost for products and components
• Product Quality and testing
• Development of new refrigeration products

Qualifications:

• Degree or Diploma in Product Design or Mechanical Engineering, or minimum 5 years equivalent work experience
• Experience in refrigeration products, appliance manufacturing an asset
• Experience in manufacturing processes and equipment in a lean environment including: metal fabrication, production line, punching, paint, charging, vacuum forming, injecting, moulding, packaging and automation
• Solidworks and CAD software experience an asset
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Self-motivated, self-directed, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, extremely responsible, and able to prioritize many tasks oriented, extremely responsive, and able to prioritize many tasks
