Stewart’s Equipment is Looking for Accounting Assistant Full Time

• Stewart’s Equipment is a family-owned, multi-line certified sales and service dealership with four stores located in Erin, Cookstown and Stayner . We serve the south central Ontario market with complete product offerings for farmers landscapers, contractors and home owners . Stewart’s represents companies that are the best in their fields- those companies that are market leaders in innovation and technology. In business since 1955 , we remain one of the largest independently owned dealerships in Eastern Canada. Our main product lines are Kubota and New Holland . Stewart’s in Erin is looking for the best candidate to work in our accounting department.
• performing payable functions including coding and entering invoices, processing cheques
• receiving customer payments and reconciling the daily deposit
• balancing vendor statements
• accounts receivable duties which may include processing and sending out monthly statements , contacting customers for payments
• completing other general duties as required

Requirements

• 3+ years of accounting experience in a small/mid-sized company
• the qualified candidate must have strong excel skills to create and analyze reports and must be highly analytical with keen attention to detail
• looking for a team player with excellent people skills

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $22.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Erin, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Accounting: 3 years (preferred)
• Bookkeeping: 1 year (preferred)
