Variety Pack Operator

General Description:

Primarily works in the Packaging Department, ing to the 1stand 2ndshift Packaging Leads. Trained in other areas of the brewery to help out as needed.

Operate variety pack equipment and make adjustments to the equipment as needed. Make equipment change overs as needed to run multiple skus and pack types. Perform quality tests as required by management. Work closely with Packaging Lead to ensure proper scheduling of products.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cleaning of equipment on regularly scheduled basis
• Setup equipment for various package types
• Preventative maintenance of equipment to include greasing, cleaning, and general PM
• Monitor product for quality and make adjustments
• Keeps work areas in order and clean
• Perform other duties on a scheduled, assigned, and as needed basis
• Complete inventory counts as needed
• Cleaning as assigned
• Supply, unload, and organize Variety Pack area
• Assigned tasks from Lead during down time

Qualifications:

The person filling this position must:

• Have skills necessary to start up, adjust, and run mechanical equipment
• Have the ability to communicate and work with other employees and management
• Have the ability to learn the operations of the packaging line and other processes required by management
• Work safely and efficiently with attention to details
• Must be available for overtime and weekend work
• Have knowledge of basic arithmetic skills to accurately complete required s
• Be willing to continually improve skills and knowledge of the entire process
• Be able to climb ladders and stairs
• Ability to lift cases of product during the duration of the shift on a daily basis
• Ability to fulfill production orders from the production schedule
