Looking for a full-time Senior Staff Accountant to join our team. We are offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

Summary:

This Senior Staff Accountant role will work closely with Sales, Operations, Accounting, and Management to provide financial detail. This role requires exceptional analytical skills, organizational skills, communication skills, and the ability to take a lead. As Senior Staff Accountant you will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, you will have charge over many aspects of internal reporting. You will also participate in compliance, interact with our external accountants for quarterly financials and look over schedules for the reporting processes. The Senior Staff Accountant spends a lot of time producing Financial Statements. Senior Staff Accountant will need to be able to travel 2-4 times per year to our other office locations in other states for up to 2 weeks at a time to train other accounting staff.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
• Some project/cost accounting experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a similar field
• Must have strong experience in QuickBooks Desktop
• Firm understanding of accounting

Responsibilities

• Participate in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close
• Be responsible for account reconciliations including prepaid expenses, payroll, and other assignments
• Keep up fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation
• Execute month end close, journal entries, with little supervision
• Take part the in implementation and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP
• Ad-hoc tasks and special projects, as needed
• Be responsible for analysis of income statements and balance sheets and communicate findings to management
• Support monthly payment schedules

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
