Steve Madden Hiring for SR. COST ACCOUNTANT at Long Island City, New York Full Time

General Summary: This position is responsible for ensuring import documents & freight bills are in order.

Major Responsibilities:

• Check documents sent with shipping advice (sea shipments not handled by MOLMCS & all air shipments)
• Request issuance of charge-backs as necessary
• Audit & approve bills for airfreight & sea freight charges
• Audit & approve bills for cargo management fees
• Run Reports – Monthly Average Freight Cost reports and Quarterly Inventory Price Test reports
• Backs up freight quotes, audit of courier bills, & checking of sea shipment docs handled by MOLMCS
• Other duties relative to above & may be assigned
• Special Projects

Education, Licenses, Certificates, Registrations and/or Experience:

• College degree
• Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook is a must
• 3 to 5 years solid work experience in accounting/import preferred

 The pay range of this position is $70,000 – $80,000. Actual salary will be determined based off candidate’s skill sets, years of experience, and other job-related factors. This range does not include benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, 401K, and additional company benefits.
