Steve Madden Hiring for COST ACCOUNTING MANAGER at Long Island City, New York Full Time

General Summary: This position manages the Cost Accounting Department with reporting duties to finance and traffic departments.

Major Responsibilities: include the following. List the job’s most import functions and responsibilities.

• Monitors freight cost and calculating average cost by division
• Performs inventory valuation tests at the end of each quarter
• Audits the company’s freight bills
• Special projects as needed
• Other duties may be assigned

Specific Job Skills:

• Good organization skills required
• Must be detail oriented

Education, Licenses, Certificates, Registrations and/or Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent experience required
• College degree in related field preferred
• 5 years’ experience in cost accounting and/or inventory background preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office required

Language Skills:

• Good verbal and written communication skills required

The pay range of this position is $90,000 – $100,000. Actual salary will be determined based off candidate’s skill sets, years of experience, and other job-related factors. This range does not include benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, 401K, and additional company benefits.
