Full Job Description
At Sterlitech, your primary responsibility will be to provide technical support for our Membrane Process and Development product line. As the Application Engineer, you are the primary point of contact for our customers, and the sales team to identify and provide reliable solutions for technical issues and to assure customer success with our products. Additional duties will include developing test procedures and facilitating presentations and training.
The applications of our products include the following industries:
Water processing, environmental engineering, medical device, industrial hygiene for air quality.
Technical Support
- Maintain an expert level of product knowledge and application in membrane filtration and skid test equipment
- Communicate and present our technology and product positioning to both business and technical users
- Provide design and specification development support to customers
- Modify designs to conform to customer requirements
- May be required to travel to customer sites for application support to clients per their design requests
- Resolve customer issues or difficulties in a manner that is consistent with the Company mission, values, and financial objectives
Sales
- Respond to functional and technical requests for products from customers and the sales team.
- Listen, understand, and convey customer requirements
- Maintain accurate records on accounts, opportunities, quotes, projects, and contacts in CRM (Salesforce)
- Provide sales support via phone: may be required to work with customers to define product needs and suggest alternatives
- Research products and keep abreast of current technologies
- Coordinate, create, and/or facilitate Quotes, Bids, RFQs
- Trade show support: booth support, representing Sterlitech at Industry meetings, symposiums, and trade shows
- BLOG articles: contribute to Sterlitech newsletter, contribute to the scientific literature
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree ia Science or Engineering (Chemistry, Industrial Hygiene, Biology, etc.)
- Industry-related experience
- At least 7-10 years of working knowledge of research laboratory processes, equipment, and facilities
- 1+ year of customer or technical support experience
- Sales (pre & post) support experience a plus
- Strong computer and MS Excel skills
- CRM experience, we use Salesforce
Work Environment
- Exposed to a combination of office and shop environments.
- Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, and noise.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift objects of up to 50 lbs.

Excellent compensation: In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the base salary range for this position is $75,000 – $110,000 annualized base salary, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired at Sterlitech, your final base salary will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer a generous benefits package, including company-paid health insurance, 401(K) retirement savings plan with employer match, 3 weeks of PTO per year, and more.
This role is open to remote work within the US, where you will work from home with company-provided equipment to set you up for success.
