Located in Telegraph Hill (SE14 5TW), our nursery is looking for a Room Leader Early Years Practitioner on a full-time basis, 40 hours a week. The nursery has some great features that makes it truly unique, such as access to the park which is across the road, spacious outdoor play areas with all-weather surfaces and a back garden for messy play and growing vegetables.

• The Nursery consists of two permanent rooms, a toddler and a preschool room across one floor, on the lower annex of the Church of God of Prophecy.
• Total capacity of Nursery: 29
• Opening times: 8am – 6pm

· Age Range: 9 months-5 years

Job requirements

We are recruiting for a Toddler Room Early Years Practitioner, third in charge (9 months to two and a half years old children), who can lead a team of two other practitioners and create inspiring experiences for our children, whilst establishing a nurturing environment and encouraging bravery and curiosity in our children’s development. A full and relevant child-care qualification at level 3, or above.

• Be able to demonstrate knowledge and practical experience of safeguarding in an early years setting
• Have key holder responsibility to open up and close the nursery.
• Previous experience as room leader and experience with babies.
• Be able to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
• A positive attitude with the ability to create a happy and stimulating learning environment for the children
• Ability to work successfully as part of a team and on own initiative
