STEMCELL Technologies Hiring for Process Engineer, Manufacturing Facility Design at Vancouver, BC Full Time

As a Process Engineer in the Technical Operations team, you will work alongside experienced scientists and engineers who collaborate closely on delivering robust, cost efficient, and innovative processes for the manufacture of cell culture media, nanoparticles, and biologics products. You’ll be heavily involved in the process design of a brand new advanced biologics manufacturing facility to support STEMCELL’s next phase of growth. Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

Collaborate with engineers and scientists from the Process Development and Manufacturing teams to define the process and equipment requirements for multiple manufacturing processes

Use the manufacturing requirements defined for the various manufacturing processes to establish requirements for Clean Utilities and Cleanroom environments in a new manufacturing facility

Assist external design consultants in the development of Conceptual and Basis of Design documents for the new manufacturing facility

Oversee and support process equipment design, documentation, evaluation, selection, and approval of third-party equipment

Assist in resolving process design issues that manifest during the construction of the new manufacturing facility

Qualifications

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline with at least 2 years of experience in a related role

Broad knowledge of cGMP Regulations relating to the manufacture of regulated pharmaceutical products

Specific experience with the design of manufacturing facilities for the production of regulated products (e.g. pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals, food, cannabis) is highly desired

Competency in commonly used equipment and facility design software (e.g. AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit) is an asset
