The Manufacturing teams at STEMCELL Technologies, the largest biotechnology company in Canada, are looking for new members! The Cleanroom Cleaning team is responsible for maintaining a controlled cleanroom environment to support making high quality STEMCELL products. STEMCELL has a very comprehensive training program which will train you in performing tasks such as solution preparation/labelling, mopping and disinfection of all surfaces, inventory replenishment, and facility upkeep activities. This is an excellent position to develop an understanding of cleanroom controls and disinfection strategies, and work collaboratively with the Manufacturing Cleanroom team.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

Follow procedures to perform disinfection of cleanroom facilities and other manufacturing areas as per schedule.

Record all activities in written and electronic documents in accordance with good manufacturing practice (GMPs, ISO) and good documentation procedures (GDPs) as required.

Review disinfection documentation at the end of shift.

Ensure cleaning supplies and tools are sufficient to maintain the disinfection of the manufacturing areas at STEMCELL.

Label and maintain disinfectants per STEMCELL procedures.

Complete and maintain gowning qualification to enter cleanroom spaces as per STEMCELL procedures.

Complete and maintain the required training to work with both regulated and non regulated products.

May be required to clean in different environments to support non-regulated and regulated production.

Perform material stocking and transfer activities to support cleanroom and non-classified manufacturing areas.

Perform housekeeping activities to ensure areas are kept to a high standard of cleanliness.

Communicate with the manufacturing cleanroom manager and technicians to coordinate tasks and escalate issues.

Perform duties within the employee’s training and skills as directed by the shift supervisor or department manager.

Remain flexible for shift based work as required to meet business demand.

Seek to understand priorities and complete work in a timely manner.

Comply with safety requirements at all times when on site.

Occasional weekend work (Saturday and/or Sunday) may be required.

Specific job related tasks: Mop/Wipe ceilings, walls, equipment and floors. Empty and remove trash from aseptic cleanroom and non classified areas. Follow a defined cleaning schedule and documents daily all work completed.

Ability to work autonomously.

Ability to collaborate across teams.

Working knowledge of a regulated environment is an asset, but not a requirement.
