We are looking for a 2nd shift operator (overnight) to join our team as a treater. Stella-Jones offers a comprehensive benefits package and on the job training. Performs operational work related to daily work instructions, inspection, grading, treatment and materials. Operates the treating plant safely and proficiently.

Regular Schedule: 8PM-8AM; 2 days on/2 days off

Training Schedule: 4-6 weeks on 1st shift; 4-6 weeks on 2nd shift (5-10 hour shifts during training)

Principal Responsibilities:

• Perform all duties of inspector, machine operator (2) and laborer positions as required.
• Operate all aspects of treating at or above target production levels.
• Performs security duties.
• Participates and contributes to company safety program.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Experience:
• License/Certification: Pesticide applicators license preferred; Boiler Operating License preferred, PIE Certified

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Required plant safety orientation.
• Pass the state pesticide certification exam.
• Respiratory training and pass the medical exam and fit test (clean shaved face may be required).
• Solid knowledge of all federal and state regulations related to the treating department.
• Solid knowledge of quality control standards related to the treating department.
• Solid knowledge of customer specifications.
• Complete all required “Continuous Education Units” to keep pesticide certification.
• Solid knowledge on hazardous waste regulations.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
