We’re excited to announce that we’re continuing to build our new 5G wireless O-RAN team from scratch and we’re looking for talented embedded software developers to take part. The Distributed Unit (DU) team has multiple openings for key roles in a new high-powered Ottawa R&D team. If you enjoy working on a new product, new software, new team, deep desire to learn and collaborate with others, then we want to hear from you.

The successful candidate would be involved with:
Implement and test key Layer 2 features, algorithms and integrate them with the CU and RU and other features in the DU.

LEAN Agile environment, implementing features in C++

Fixing defects in a timely manner.

Working with other team members and software architects to determine the high level and detailed designs of the DU components.

Part of a scrum team responsible for the continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) of the DU components.

Identifying, developing, executing, monitoring, and maintaining automated tests in Python.

Work closely with the other development teams to ensure completeness, quality, and performance of the DU functionality.

As a Senior Developer you may have additional team leadership responsibilities.

Must have Qualifications:
Organized, goal-oriented, self-starter, with a team focused mentality.

An excellent attitude and desire to work in a collaborative team environment where everybody in the scrum team owns the deliverables and quality.

Comfortable working in a very dynamic environment.

C/C++ programming experience.

10+ years’ experience working on carrier grade telecommunications products. You know what 99.9999% means.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with wireless technologies, 4G, 5G, and particularly DU.

Knowledge of 3GPP and ORAN standards and interfaces, familiarity with RRC, MAC, scheduler, and L1 interfaces.

Experience working in a startup type environment would be an asset.

Experience with Wireshark, gdb, and the Atlassian toolset.
