The role

Our developers work on a wide variety of web and mobile app projects. As a developer at Qrious, you will work alongside other members of our development teams to build applications and websites that work across all major browsers and devices. As a software developer you will be involved in all aspects of development and the development life cycle and will have the opportunity to contribute to both “backend”, “frontend”, mobile app and “low code” application development. At Qrious we encourage our developers to acquire a broad range of skills but also provide the opportunity to specialise in particular technologies or roles.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Development of websites using the latest version of Angular.
• Development of mobile apps using Xamarin Forms and Flutter.
• Development of REST APIs using .NET.
• Mentoring junior software developers on projects.
• Acting as a technical lead providing expertise where required.
• Create websites, applications and apps using the latest technologies and standards.
• Work with the team to support existing websites, applications and apps.
• Participate in development process from specification and design through build to testing, release and maintenance.
• Participate in an agile team, estimating and planning work according to agile principles.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 6-10 years’ experience and relevant degree or qualification
• Ability to show examples of work you have developed, and explain how you have developed them
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery
• Experience with C# .NET
• Experience with the latest version of Angular
• Experience with mobile development technologies such as Xamarin Forms or Flutter
• Experience of working in Agile and Scrum teams
• Understanding of responsive design principles
• An ability to work on projects as part of a team and independently
• Clear communication skills

Your attitude is your most important personal attribute, but it will help if you have a few years of experience as a Software Developer or similar role. Naturally, you’ll also need to be an excellent communicator, and ideally, you will have a degree in a relevant field.
