Under limited supervision, serves as Associate Director of Operations for management of assigned campuses (Beltline, Northeast and Fairfield) encompassing approximately 50 acres and 460,000 square feet of facilities.
Directs, plans and monitors facilities maintenance and repair activities for assigned (Beltline, Northeast and Fairfield) campuses. Ensures effective general building, electrical, and mechanical maintenance, both preventive and unplanned. Plans, directs, coordinates and provides oversight of in-house and contract janitorial activities, grounds maintenance activities, and contract security on assigned campuses. Plans and coordinates comprehensive safety program for assigned campuses including environmental conditions of facilities and grounds. Inspects in-house and contract projects for compliance with building, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and life safety codes. Plans, directs, coordinates and executes minor construction and repair/renovation projects. Serves as campus coordinator for major construction on assigned campuses to include scheduling and coordinating with college departments. Assists in implementation of Permanent Improvement Projects involving construction, architects/engineers, construction management, land surveying and interior design as it relates to planning, construction, rehabilitation, renovation, maintenance and use of campus buildings. Develops, monitors and controls budgets and expenditures. Coordinates and directs campus motor pool.
Must possess extensive knowledge of methods and techniques for the maintenance of buildings and grounds, including preventive maintenance programs and possess extensive experience with Microsoft office and building computer management applications. Considerable knowledge of construction as it relates to repairs and renovations of facilities. Must be able to demonstrate supervisory capabilities, work without direct supervision, interact with a diverse population and make independent decisions.
This position subject to emergency calls at any time and may be required to work on other campuses. Must be physically able to: assess facilities by extensive walking inside, outside, and on rooftops; climb ladders and stairs; and perform physical task normally associated with maintenance work.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture or engineering technology and journey-level engineering or architectural work experience. A master’s degree in engineering or architecture and entry-level engineering or architectural work experience may be substituted for the required experience.
