Under the direction of the superintendent/designee,
  • Is responsible for all activities involved in educational operations.
  • Under the direction of the school leader, tailors’ instruction to meet the individual academic needs of inmate students at the secondary level.
  • Performs duties governed generally by broad instructions, objectives, and policies.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

Must successfully complete eight (8) week SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

SCDC Minimum Requirements: (Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources).

  • Must possess a valid SC teaching certificate. Certification in secondary math, science, social studies, English/language arts or special educational preferred.
