This position exists to provide Reception and Resource Room services to all customers of the Minnesota CareerForce office in Willmar; including but not limited to: Unemployment Insurance applicants, job seekers, employers, Rehabilitation Services consumers, Veterans, Dislocated Workers, and Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP)/ Diversionary Work Programs (DWP)/ Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program Employment and Training (SNAP-ET) recipients of the Minnesota CareerForce Center office. This position also promotes and facilitates the use of the Career Lab so that CareerForce customers have the technical assistance and information necessary to help them with their individual employment needs including use of MinnesotaWorks.net.

Skill in customer service sufficient to provide prompt and accurate information to customers in person, on the phone, and through email and other written or electronic correspondence.
Applicants that meet the above minimum qualification will be further evaluated on the following:
Knowledge of communications sufficient to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
Skill in data entry sufficient to maintain accurate records and s.
Knowledge of customer service practices and principles sufficient to identify each customer’s needs, meet quality standards for services, that result in customer satisfaction.
Ability to learn to use a multi-line telephone console, efficiently transfer calls, and take accurate messages.
Skill in word processing sufficient to use software, such as Microsoft Word, to type and format letters, memos, s, and minutes of meetings, etc.
Skill in database management sufficient to develop and maintain databases and calendars for staff.
Ability to answer job seeker/unemployment insurance claimant questions or assist applicant/claimant in the completion of forms or other business and refer them to the appropriate staff, other supportive service agency, or unemployment insurance call centers.
Ability to assist applicant with registering on www.MinnesotaWorks.net and assist with resume development and job search.
Knowledge of the many programs offered through this agency or our partners to clients which include Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Employment and Training (SNAP-ET), Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP), Diversionary Worker Program (DWP), Dislocated Workers Program, and others in order to refer client to the appropriate agency.
Knowledge of available resources in Kandiyohi County in order to refer individuals to additional services they may be in need of.
