Job Purpose and Mission
This role contributes to Starbucks’ success by ensuring a proactive Partner Resources support to other PRO partners and partners within the UK Support Centre (EMEA regional office). Provides advice and accurate administration of HR policies, processes, and legal requirements across the business.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Control of the entire Partner Resources administration and processes including data entry and maintenance of the HRIS (currently SAP).
Preparation of partner letters, employment contracts and any other relevant correspondence.
Responsible for on-going improvement for HR processes and the maintenance and organisation of shared HR drives, templates, sites (SharePoint, Teams etc.).
Assist with updating and maintaining all HR policies and procedures and support with research to create innovative ways of working.
Responsible for setting up new partners including, planning and implementing immersion plans and creating partner files making the process as simple as possible for hiring managers.
Deliver, and input into the content of ‘Starbucks Experience’, our on-boarding introductory experience and conduct immersion meetings
Take responsibility for the leaver process ensuring all processes are followed and exit interviews are completed.
Acting as a note taker/advisor for grievance, disciplinary, appeal meetings, leader assimilations and any other relevant meetings.
On-going creation and maintenance of all job descriptions.
Key point of contact for Support Centre partners for HR & ER related activity, including Occupational Health and performance/contract/sickness issues.
Support for SAP/organisational structures to ensure continuity and compliance.
Support the HRBPS where necessary withy cyclical events such as annual pay review, performance and talent discussions.
Supports engagement programmes that reinforce Starbucks mission, values and guiding principles (i.e. Partner Survey, Partner Networks and other ad-hoc projects as required such as supporting with the wellbeing and I&D agendas).
Produce statistics, reports and collate data for PRO management.
Owns processes for maternity, paternity, probation and referencing.
Supports the work of the HRBPs and collaborates with the COEs (e.g. ensuring pay changes communicated to payroll, some recruitment administration).
Ad-hoc administration to include, preparing tribunal bundles, collating new starter packs, acting as first point of contact for callers, assistance with Insights Discovery administration
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Solid experience in a fast paced HR environment
Ability to be pragmatic and provide appropriate solutions in basic HR situations
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
CIPD qualification (part or fully qualified) desirable
Intermediate/advanced MS Office suite experience, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Strong organizational skills including proven ability to prioritise work effectively
Robust approach to work requiring attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail
Proven ability to use initiative
Knowledge of employment law would be an advantage
An understanding of the importance of confidentiality in the work environment
Experience of using a database system to track information
Able to act in a composed, customer focused and professional approach at all times
HR related experience within a retail environment
SAP knowledge preferred
