About the role:

Stantec are growing their finance team and currently looking for an Accounts Payable Officer. The successful candidate will work with a very supportive and friend team. You will also have the opportunity to growth their career with a global consulting company.

You will be responsible for:

• tEnsure the Accounts Payable process is completed in an effective, efficient and timely manner

• tSpot-on coding and approval of invoices to different business units and projects

• tHelpful resolution of supplier queries and disputes

• tFollow up of logged invoices and approvals

• tPreparation of the weekly payment runs and setting up new suppliers

• tInvoice management – ensuring all invoices are reviewed with appropriate coding and approvals

• tResolving supplier and business inquiries

• tManage AP mailbox

• tAssisting AP Manager/Team Leader with other duties as required

To be successful in this role your will have:

• tHave some experience in a similar high-volume Accounts Payable role

• tUnderstanding of Direct/Project vs Indirect expenditure

• tIntermediate/Advanced Microsoft excel and experience in a major accounting package (e.g. Oracle, JD Edwards)

• tStrong attention to detail and a customer focus, combined with amazing communication skills

• tHigh level of customer service experience
