POSITION SUMMARY:
HAI is excited to offer a new Program Manager, Education position for its expanding portfolio of education initiatives. The ideal candidate is an experienced and dynamic leader who can help create educational programming across the lifelong learning spectrum, serving audiences within HAI’s education mission set (K-12-, university-, professional-, executive-, government-, and civil society populations, as well as the general public), while simultaneously bringing particular attention to HAI’s rapidly growing Executive- and Professional Education portfolio. This position reports to the HAI Director of Education and will work in close coordination with HAI’s Education team as well as HAI’s Policy and Partner Engagement teams to help HAI develop best-in-class education programming and related initiatives across the Institute.
The Program Manager, Education will ensure the success of HAI’s current educational activities as well as develop future initiatives, both within HAI itself and in close collaboration with partners internal and external to Stanford. For context, example current HAI education initiatives include: in-person and online Executive Education programs, Professional Education programs, policymaker and government education programming, custom educational engagements, as well as a number of programs for audiences within higher education, K-12, civil society, and the general public. Future initiatives may be in similar veins or develop exciting new areas of educational programming. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, able to work across complex organizations and audience sets as required by the position’s programmatic responsibilities and HAI’s mission and values.
CORE DUTIES:
Lead the planning and operations for programs or functions that have significant business, regulatory and/or technical challenges requiring subject matter expertise.
Lead the design and manage the success of HAI education programs, with particular attention to HAI’s Executive and Professional offerings, in close collaboration with HAI Leadership and key stakeholders.
Evaluate programs or functions, policies, and procedures. Identify issues and develop alternative solutions which may include changes to programs, policies, and procedures.
Lead the assessment of HAI educational activities, in close collaboration with HAI Leadership and key stakeholders.
Review and analyze educational program trends to advise and develop recommendations to achieve or modify the goals of the program or function.
Represent the program or function within the department, unit or school by committing resources and provide information and/or training. Represent the program or function at the university level and/or to external/internal stakeholders and constituencies.
Manage and contribute to the development of outreach strategy that may include relationship development, communications, and compliance.
Develop and/or oversee related budgets; manage finances including monitoring, analyzing, forecasting, and reporting.
Assess training needs and develop associated training.
May direct and/or supervise staff.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
