No degree, certificate or diploma, industrial mechanic certificate an asset

Experience:
1 to 2 years shop experience would be considered an asset

Own Tools/Equipment:
Steel-toed safety boots

Bondable, Basic security clearance, Criminal record check

Transportation/Travel Information:
Own transportation

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Overtime required, Work under pressure, Standing for extended periods

Work Site Environment:
At heights, Noisy, Odours, Dusty, Confined spaces

Personal Suitability:

Area of Specialization:
Start-up and testing, Shutdown operations, Renovating and restoring, Rigging and handling, Troubleshooting, Bearing, seals and packing

Equipment and Machinery Experience:
Fans and blowers, Pneumatic system, Welding equipment, Hydraulic system, Lathes and other machining tools, Automated and robotic system, Conveyor, Press brakes and metalworking equipment, Pumps and compressors, Tool grinders, Hand tools

Major Work Area:
Machinery installation, Maintenance, Service, Repair, Overhaul, Machine set-up

Specific Skills:
Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions, Construct foundations for machinery, Repair or replace defective machinery parts, Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up, Perform routine maintenance work on machinery, Operate machining tools to fabricate parts, Assembling machinery and equipment (prior to installation), Installing machinery and equipment, Operate hoisting and lifting equipment
