The Role Responsibilities
This role is responsible for designing and delivering talent development initiatives for high potential graduate and summer intern talent globally. Reporting to the Lead, Talent Accelerator this role collaborates closely with key stakeholders across the globe in functions, business, countries and regions as well as acting as a subject matter expert on entry level development.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Programme Design & Delivery
Lead on the design and delivery of the global summer internship and graduate accelerator programmes aimed at accelerating top entry level talent
Ensure that the curriculum delivers on the needs of both participants and the Bank and is connected to the broader Talent Accelerator strategy
Collaborate with stakeholders in learning, culture and talent solutions to deliver a curriculum that is aligned to the development direction of the Bank, yet also distinguishes itself to address the needs of high potential talent
Plan and execute engagement strategies to enable a great candidate experience for colleagues on our programmes
Facilitate the delivery of the programmes through outsourced partners and challenge effectively to create a differentiated proposition that delivers an excellent candidate experience
Programme Management
Manage delivery of all programmatic requirements for the graduate and summer intern accelerator programmes
Manage vendors, including contracting, financials managing delivery to time, budget and quality
Manage programme financials, including recharges, budgeting and invoicing
Talent Advisory and Deployment
Shape the curriculum for entry level talent ensuring there is continuity of and alignment between junior, mid-level and mid-senior level talent accelerations
Partner with Early Careers Managers to provide advice and guidance to stakeholders regarding designing graduate and intern talent programmes locally
Partner with Lead, Early Careers Relationship Managers to ensure strategic deployment of our top talent
Ongoing stakeholder engagement and collaboration to ensure awareness of the programmes, as well as ensuring that the programmes align with key talent initiatives in the bank
Reporting and Governance
Responsible as the process owner for IG Programme Global Standards
Ensure adherence to the Bank’s policies and processes
Utilise reporting to track success measures of accelerator programmes and implement qualitative reporting mechanisms to identify feedback and opportunities for improvement
Responsible for delivering effective governance, oversight and controls in the team/ program, and if necessary, oversee changes in these areas
Effectively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters
Manage to the global budget approved for the summer intern and graduate global accelerations
Regulatory & Business Conduct
Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. Our Ideal Candidate
Extensive HR, talent or graduate development experience, with a passion for developing the Bank’s future generation of leaders.
Relevant knowledge of talent management, including talent processes, instructional design, facilitation and coaching.
Someone creative and with a love for innovation. You are keen to lead the way rather than keep up with the changing trends in talent management and development.
Excellent communication skills at all levels
Able to build strong, challenging stakeholder relationships, influencing outcomes where necessary
Exceptional project management skills, ensuring delivery of required elements according to the standards which govern each respective programme or initiative
Possess a risk and control mindset and proven experience in mitigating potential risks as they arise
Ability to balance global and local perspectives and able to deliver projects on a global scale whilst meeting local needs
Proven ability to engage others and collaborate, influencing without formal authority
Experience in managing vendors, ensuring on time, on budget and on quality delivery
Confident in dealing with pressure and deadlines
Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and able to navigate complexity
