Test Division Summary

Job Purpose

Working within the Standard Bank Wealth International (“WIN”) Regulatory Reporting team, preparing the monthly and quarterly regulatory returns for all regulated entities in Wealth International. This also includes the preparation of the daily capital, liquidity and market risk reports sent to senior management.

Develop strong relationships with the group regulatory team, WIN Finance, Credit Risk and Treasury Dealing Desk teams, colleagues to assist in delivering reporting to themselves, as well as receiving information from, in accordance with local and Group policies.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

Prepare regulatory returns timeously, through consolidating date, analysing and providing the related commentary.

Prepare the following reports for submission to the relevant regulators:

• Monthly Bank of England returns;
• Quarterly Prudential Returns (Local and Group regulators); and
• Ad-hoc queries where applicable from either Group or Regulators

All reporting is required to be prepared accurately and in accordance with regulatory deadlines.

For the above returns, where applicable, preparation of commentaries to be submitted to management and/or local regulators as applicable.

Prepare and distribute daily regulatory reports and investigate on applicable matters.

To prepare and distribute daily internal reports as required by regulatory requirements and WIN policies. Daily reporting includes the following:

• Liquidity Risk;
• Capital Adequacy; and
• Market Risk

Investigate and provide commentary for day-on-day movements where applicable within the above reports.

Drive the RDARR – as the data steward

Define and document data/metric standards, definitions, thresholds and implement the appropriate data quality rules and checks.

Drive the resolution or any remediation coming out of data quality checks.

Define, document and publish data/metric formulae, derivation rule/algorithm and data lifecycle requirements (e.g. retention, archiving etc.).

Align to relevant governance bodies and related policies and standards across the group

Monitor potential risk and ensure compliance

• Adhere to the Group guidelines and policies around financial management.
• Identify any potential risks and ensure relevant finance manager is sufficiently and appropriately informed.
• Comply with compliance regulatory and financial frameworks for all finance activities
• Ensure reputational and/or business risk is managed.
• Complete mandatory compliance training.
• Adhere to sound financial principles.

Training towards or have a professional accountancy qualification (for example CA / ACA)
