A key element of the Stanchion strategy is to introduce and deliver our digital product offering into the global market. The main purpose of the solutions architect role is to bridge the gap between the technical and sales departments in the company. A combination of technical and strategic sales skills is needed to successfully communicate the Stanchion value proposition and convince prospects to adopt the Stanchion product portfolio as a key functional building block of their enterprise digital payments architecture. Stanchion is searching for such an architect to expand our Verto product offering.

Job title: Lead Software Solutions Architect

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Support global regions with their sales processes as a technical pre-sales resource
• Contribute to the development of the Verto strategy by gathering market information from global regions
• Maintain a high level of knowledge in a broad range of technologies relevant to the industry to support the ideation phases of the Verto product life cycle
• Provide thought leadership to the Verto team as well as global regional teams on best practices for Verto solutions
• Engage with Marketing in the creation and constant improvement of sales collateral (slides, brochures, website, …)
• Actively engage with product team to provide feedback from customer engagements and R&D activities
• Provide a soundboard to product team in roadmap and architectural planning discussions
• Proactively engage with regional delivery teams to ensure sound (high quality) architectural design for all new Verto projects
• Provide training sessions to internal teams on Verto best practices and “lessons learnt” to complement similar activity by the product team
• Formally feed information and data back to internal teams in a structured and relevant manner
• Build Develop Verto POCs (this includes the actual writing of code in Java)
• Publish personal “thought leadership” whitepapers/articles Informally mentor technical resources as project engagements allow

WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE

• Honours Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent
• 10 years as a Payments “Subject Matter Expert”
• 10 years’ experience in the Card Payments sector
• 5 years of business consulting experience
• In-depth knowledge of industry products
• Understanding of FinTech, Banking, Retail & Trading sectors
• Experienced coding, preferably in Java
• Advanced knowledge of Java, Spring, JEE
• Advanced knowledge of APIs
• Ability to network, build and sustain client, strategic alliance, supplier and peer relationships
• Ability to think and act systemically and methodically
• Ability to think innovatively and to apply good solution thinking
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Good interpersonal skills
• Customer relationship management competencies
• Able to work under pressure and multitask
• Attention to detail and be well organised
• Ability to coach (& mentor) on the job and to facilitate learning with less
  experienced teammates

• PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Masters Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent
  • ACI Postilion experience
  • Stanchion Verto experience
