About the role

Stamford Hotels and Resorts have an exciting opportunity available for a passionate Accountant. This role will be based in Melbourne providing support to Stamford Plaza Melbourne.

As the Accountant, you will be supporting the administrative duties across all Finance functions including but not limited to:

Assist the Financial Controller and Assistant Financial Controller in managing financial and management reporting

Maintain the general ledger

Maintain the fixed assets register

Manage the accounts receivable and credit function

Perform balance sheet reconciliations, and reconciliations between hotel system and interfaces

Assist in preparing and lodging BAS statements

Support the hotel operation departments

Stamford Hotels and Resorts is looking for a person with the following attributes:

Tertiary qualification in Finance or Accounting

Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role

Preferably CA/CPA qualified (or part)

Highly competent in using Microsoft Suite e.g. Word, Excel

Experience in Hospitality/Hotel would be beneficial

Knowledge of SUN Systems ERP and Opera would be beneficial
