Position Summary:
With safety, efficiency, and customer service as a priority, the Production Scheduler creates and maintains the overall Master Production Schedule (MPR) and provides updates to the daily schedule as required. Reporting directly to the Logistics Manager, the Scheduler will assist in maintaining adequate raw materials and packaging suppliers to ensure production operations is aligned with sales forecasts and customer orders.
The position will also closely work with the Production leadership team for purchasing and inventory control. As a part of a high-performing team, the successful candidate will proficiently use their negotiation skills to develop freight partnerships in order to reduce costs on an ongoing basis as well as minimize freight claims.
The Coordinator will continuously identify and recommend ways to utilize lean manufacturing methodologies to improve logistics processes to ensure alignment with long and short-term strategies and objectives in an effective and timely manner. Working within a small team, the right candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality work, with a “roll up your sleeves” kind of attitude.
This is a full-time position that requires strong organizational, interpersonal, and detail-oriented skills and someone who is well versed in logistics, shipping, and scheduling administration. The successful candidate will be disciplined, punctual, and a strong team player.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for creating and maintaining the Master Production Schedule (MRP)
Update schedule daily and as required, work with production supervisors to coordinate activities and operations
Ensure operation meets shipping deadlines according to sales forecasts and dealer orders
Develop daily and weekly production schedules using Fenevision
Plan and schedule operations according to previously established manufacturing lead times, while maintaining efficiencies and productivity numbers
Adjust schedule to meet changing needs (e.g. equipment breakdowns, supply chain issues…)
Prepare accurate reports for management
Act as backup to Logistics Planner to ensure cross-functionality within the department

Experience and Skills:
College diploma or equivalent in Materials Management, Production Planning or equivalent experience in the field· 3+ years of production coordination or scheduling in a manufacturing industry
Experience utilizing databases or ERP systems an asset
Experience in a production manufacturing environment with experience in scheduling operations and developed understanding of manufacturing processes
Advanced skill in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc…) Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
Demonstrated ability to negotiate costs and measure performance
Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
Time management and project prioritization skills
