Stage Windows & Doors Hiring for Forklift Driver/Packer at Vaughan, ON Full Time

Position Summary:
The Packer and F/L Driver will play a vital role by providing hands-on support to our Shipping and Receiving department in collaboration with the Shipping Supervisor to meet production goals, legislative standards, and health and safety requirements. This role will contribute to each area of the department, provide training and coaching for employees, handle escalations, and extend hands-on assistance with daily work. This is a full-time position that requires strong leadership, organization, interpersonal, detail-oriented, and shipping and receiving skills with experience in a warehouse environment. The successful candidate will be disciplined, punctual, and a strong team player.

Key Responsibilities:
Provides direction to department workers ensuring execution of daily shipping goals, allocation of resources, ensuring forklift and machine maintenance, collaboration with external production departments, and completion of work according to health and safety rules and company policies by creating a safe work environment and engaging department culture

Coordinates with the Logistics department to understand shipment schedules, expedited orders, escalations, and special requests

Onboards, trains, coaches, and evaluates the performance of workers ensuring compliance with company standards, including quality, productivity, health and safety, and KPIs

Monitors temporary agency staff to verify hours, performance, and compliance making suggestions to Shipping Manager on full-time hires; escalates issues as required

Completes reports and associated documentation to review with management

Maintains cleanliness of department, yard, and back of plant ensuring timely and appropriate disposal of garbage, general housekeeping, and conducting daily checks to verify areas are clear of clutter ·

Be a health and safety champion enforcing standards, regulations, policies, and general awareness among employees

Skills:
Ability to guide, coach, lead, and mentor staff

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Mechanical aptitude

Working knowledge of MS Office Suite, MS Excel, and databases

Time management and project prioritization skills

Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task

Ability to lift 50 lbs

Education & Experience:
Post Graduate education or relevant Trades certification

5+ years of leadership experience within the windows manufacturing industry, preferably glass lines

Valid Forklift license

Previous experience leading projects and teams
