Stage 2 Security (S2) is seeking an experienced Tenable Information Security Engineer with experience using various Tanium modules and a background in maintaining, optimizing, and troubleshooting while supporting multi-site and Federal customers.

Responsibilities:

• Operating and maintaining the client’s Tenable.sc infrastructure (primary server and distributed scanners) and troubleshooting any issues that arise during regular operations.
• Execute and document procedures for upgrades, configuration modifications, and other changes.
• Collaborate with the scan team to set up and run scans and keep the client in compliance with their policies.
• Maintain server and configuration backups.
• Build a new development environment for testing changes.
• Follow the change control process to deploy major changes to the environment.
• Attend and contribute to daily, weekly, and adhoc meetings for general discussions and troubleshooting specific issues collaboratively.

Skills:

• 
  Experience designing, building, and maintaining Tenable products and Tanium modules.
• Experience using various Tanium modules, able to retrieve data using Ineract and how to ask effective ‘questions’ in the platform and generate s.
• Experience with other security tools is a plus
  • Splunk
  • Web Inspect Enterprise
  • Symantec DLP
• Comfortable using the Linux command line interface
• Solid system administration skills:
  • Linux experience is required
  • Shell scripting experience is a plus
  • Networking troubleshooting experience is a plus
• Experience with formal change management processes is a plus
• CyberArk experience is a plus
• Works well with the team and clients
• Willingness to learn new things
• Operates independently and does well in a self-directed environment (i.e. doesn’t wait to be assigned tasks, proactively looks for what needs to be done)
• Capable of writing and following documentation for complex procedures

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelors and 6 years of cybersecurity-related work experience
• Experience with one or more: Cyber/NIST policy, RMF, mitigation development or implementation required.
• 
  Citizenship required, and candidates must be willing to be submitted for a US Government background investigation

Preferred Certifications:

• Security +, CEH, GPEN, OSEP, etc.
• CISSP certification
• Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP)

Location:

Remote with a preference for those who live in the DC area and would be willing to visit the site occasionally.
