Project Engineer – £30,000 – Burton

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our client who is a market leader in building materials, they work with leading blue chip companies. As a  Project Engineer you would join a fast paced and successful team of Engineers, you will liaise with client and offer expert advice & the best possible design solutions.  

Your Time at Work

• Maintain all information/records required to ensure successful project running/completion.
• Responsible for specifying standard off-the-shelf products, as well as custom made items.
• Attend occasional office and site visits to develop customer relationships, solve technical issues and develop product design. 
• Develop Client relationships and keep communication lines open. Regular contact with client site representatives is critical.
• Ensure you are able to provide basic calculations to the current standard for all products specified by you. If necessary, seek assistance from a more senior Project Engineer or in special circumstances from the dedicated Engineering team.

• Excellent organisation skills, to plan the use of people and resources to meet dead-lines.
• Strong interpersonal skills, to motivate and lead your project team.
• Good communication and negotiation skills, to manage expectations.
• The ability to use your initiative and make decisions under pressure.
• 2:1 degree in a Civil / Structural discipline.
• Experience managing engineering projects.
• Strong general experience of project engineering.
• Educated to an advanced technical level in a relevant engineering discipline, HND/HNC & preferable membership.
