About the Role
You will provide workforce development, education, advice and support for health professionals and community health workers, working with or caring for people with viral hepatitis throughout Victoria. It aims to improve their knowledge, skills and attitudes and therefore their capacity to care for people with, or at risk of viral hepatitis.
Develop, manage, deliver and evaluate hepatitis B, hepatitis C and infection control specific workforce development services for health professionals throughout Victoria
Manage, initiate and develop accurate and relevant education programs and resources
Provide telephone support for health professionals and provide information regarding the clinical management of viral hepatitis and infection control issues
Incorporate training on communication, health literacy, cultural competence and other approaches that influence clinical outcomes
Participate in research and resource development
Classifications for this position will range from ZA7-ZA8 ($115,806 – $118,606 per annum) pro rata.
Your Contribution
Registration with APHRA – Division 1 Registered Nurse
Postgraduate qualifications in nursing, education, Hepatology, AOD or Public Health
Experience in adult education
Ability to build and maintain relationships with the Hepatitis sector, peak bodies and external organisations working in hepatitis education
Work collaboratively with the Hepatitis sector, peak bodies and external organisations working in hepatitis educatio
Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain

About Gastroenterology Department
This role is funded by the Department of Health and Human Services. It is based within the team in the Gastroenterology Department. It is a state-wide position that entails travel around Victoria and has a high degree of autonomy and responsibility.
