The Position

Working as part of the specialist finance team and reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements and reports, maintaining accounts payable and receivable, and provide timely and accurate financial support.

You will liaise with other departments, debtors and creditors as well as undertake balance sheet and account reconciliations. You will also assist with the preparation of internal budgets and monthly reporting and the preparation of journals for end of month processes along with other financial administrative duties.

About You

To be successful in this role you have a strong service ethic and have a clear knowledge and applied technical understanding of contemporary accounting and financial management practices, with the ability to provide practical “hands on” support in relation to financial matters.

You will have a strong personal commitment to the values and purpose of Vinnies, and have a proven ability to work autonomously or as part of a team, providing valued support to a broad range of stakeholders.

Your Qualifications

Qualifications or working towards qualifications in Accounting, with proven previous experience in a finance officer role and/or commensurate experience in accounting, particularly in accounts payable/accounts receivable, and account reconciliation within a complex work environment.
