st Resource Recruiting Hiring for Design Engineer Full Time

Mechanical Design Engineer needed for growing company with excellent reputation and employee satisfaction is looking to fill a key role in their design department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone that has 1-2 years of experience in design of complex parts or components in the automotive or agricultural marketplace. 3D Design background in Pro Engineer/PTC wildfire or Creo is required.Previous launch experience with new product is required.

Requirements:

• Associate’s degree in Design, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Design Engineering; Bachelor degree preferred;

• At least 2 years of experience in design with any Automotive or machinery component design experience is a plus;

• Must be multi-task oriented to balance several tasks and projects simultaneously;

• Familiarity with IBM compatible PC and relevant software applications (i.e. Microsoft Office etc…), Auto CAD 2013, UG, Pro Engineer/PTC wildfire or Creo proficiency necessary;

• Possesses strong interpersonal skills communicating both verbally and in writing with outside customers as well as those internally;

Duties:

• Designs industrial components from initial concept through final detailed designs;

• Communicates with customer’s engineers to assist in the design if the product;

• Optimizes manufacturing costs through improvements in design ;

• Assists with design tooling aids for manufacturing;

• Works with plant manufacturing engineering and operations for purpose of developing lean manufacturing processes;

• Works with internal and external suppliers on the design and specification of components;

• Determines routings for new products;

• Maintains Sales Engineering contacts with customers;

• Performs other duties as assigned.
