St. Petersburg First United Methodist Church is excited about what the Lord is doing in our midst! As we continue to grow and serve our Lord and His people we are excited to announce that we are looking for an addition to our Admin Family. We are seeking a qualified candidate for a full-time Bookkeeper position. The candidate will be required to perform bookkeeping and payroll functions; maintaining and reconciling financial statements, accounts payable, weekly collection reports, monthly financial reports, payroll processing, and assist in budget preparation.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable
• Accounts Receivables
• Balance Sheets
• Reconciling receipts and bank statements
• Statements
• Management of invoicing processes
• Transfer data from Realm to Excel
• Process Payroll on Proliant
• Pay bills on time; follow up on collections, maintain accurate AP and AR reports
• Maintain Reconciliation Schedules as guided by the Business Administrator
• Assist with office file organization
• Assist with Fundraising Campaigns and Events
• Participate in various meetings
• Other office tasks as needed
• Provide clerical and administrative support to the Business Administrator as needed

Knowledge & Experience Requirements

• Must be computer literate and have experience using copiers and other office equipment

• At least 5 years’ experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc) required

• Will need to learn REALM and Proliant software for maintaining parishioner and contribution database, as well as payroll.

• Ability to work well with people; in person and over the phone

• Must be able to maintain confidentiality in all matters

Education:

• Associate or higher (Preferred)
