Payroll Supervisor

This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll supervisor to join our College based at our Indooroopilly School. Reporting to the Director of People and Culture with daily interaction with the finance team to ensure the highest standards of payroll practices are in place at the College. This role is the key liaison between the College and appointed external payroll partner.

Experience, Attributes and skills:

• Proven experience supervising the end-to-end payroll function on a fortnightly cycle to deliver high quality and accurate services to internal and external customers
• Demonstrated experience running payroll system processes including award interpretation, generating reports, pay validations and banking of wages
• Understanding of Workers Compensation benefits
• Strong ability to upskill in new industries and legislation quickly and amend processes to achieve quality and compliance; including evidence of remaining abreast of taxation, finance, superannuation and other relevant regulations
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, attention to detail and accuracy and are comfortable working through complex situations
• You enjoy and are skilled at both operational and strategic areas of work
• Excellent interpersonal skills and can communicate sensitively and confidentially with colleagues and other external parties
• High levels of personal initiative and accountability and can achieve outcomes within strict timeframes
• Experience within a similar role. While not essential, experience in the Education Sector is highly regarded
• Ability to work collaboratively and develop strong professional relationships with those around you
• You value contributing to diverse and inclusive communities and accept the responsibility to uphold the Christian Ethos, including core values of care, dignity & respect.
