Summary

The UK Student Recruitment Team is responsible for generating undergraduate and postgraduate applications through the delivery of a range of recruitment initiatives.

This includes activity with schools and colleges. The Student Recruitment Officer (Schools & Colleges) will co-ordinate activities in schools, attend HE fairs and organise on-campus events to encourage prospective students to apply to St Mary’s and to convert applications into enrolment.

Job Details

We are looking for a motivated individual with experience of the HE sector and excellent relationship management skills. The role could particularly suit someone with experience gained in a teaching or advisory role in a secondary school or further education college. You will engage with students, staff and stakeholders, to promote St Mary’s University. You will be a key influencer in encouraging applications to study at St Mary’s and you will be innovative and creative in your approach.

This is a full-time post based at St Mary’s University. However, a lot of activity will take place off campus at schools, colleges and education exhibitions. Therefore, a flexible attitude and a willingness to travel and work outside regular office hours is a must.

Faculty / Institute / Department:

The Global Engagement (GE) Directorate is led by the Director of Global Engagement and is charged with the successful achievement of St Mary’s student recruitment growth targets. The scope of GE’s responsibilities includes: UG and PG recruitment from Home and Overseas markets; Student Mobility; International Experience/Student Transition; Partnership Development; Admissions; and Marketing and Communications.
