The Position
St John of God Midland Public and Private Hospital provides high quality public and private services to people living in the east metropolitan and Wheatbelt regions.
St John of God Midland Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Educator (CE) to join the divisional Learning and Development team and be responsible for the delivery, assessment and evaluation of programs and activities that promote and reflect best practice standards.

The Position

St John of God Midland Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Educator (CE) to join the divisional Learning and Development team and be responsible for the delivery, assessment and evaluation of programs and activities that promote and reflect best practice standards.
This position will be primarily based in the Mental Health area and whilst working this role you will conduct all the usual activities of a Clinical Educator. In addition you will be trained as a Safety Intervention Training (SIT) Facilitator. If you are already trained in SIT please include this information in your application.
Current registration with AHPRA, recent clinical experience in adult mental health and the ability to communicate and transmit knowledge effectively using appropriate methods and tools are essential for further consideration.
This role is being offered on a permanent basis, with 70 hours per fortnight on offer for the successful candidate.

The successful candidate will address the following Selection Criteria:
- A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care
- Currently registered as a Health Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Well-developed interpersonal, communication and mentoring/coaching skills with the ability to engage with a diverse workforce
- Effective conflict resolution, negotiation and problem solving skills
- Well-developed understanding and demonstrated application of adult learning principles
- Well-developed time management and organisational skills
- Knowledge of quality improvement and relevant Accreditation and licensing processes and associated links to learning and development programs that promote quality service delivery and safety
- Working knowledge of Learning Management Systems, blended learning strategies and a range of computer packages.
