St Hilda’s School is owned by the Diocese of Brisbane and the School Council is appointed by the Archbishop in Council. The major functions of the School Council are the appointment of the School Principal, the fixing of the annual budget and the fixing of school policy. The Principal, in the role of Chief Executive Officer is responsible for the day-to-day running of the School. All staff are responsible for carrying out their duties.

Teacher of Religious Education

Part Time, Fixed Term Contract ending 1 April 2022 (0.62 FTE)

Monday – Thursday Timetable

The successful applicant will be an innovative educator who has the qualifications and ability to teach students in Years 7-12. The successful candidate will be passionate and dynamic, possessing a thorough understanding of the needs of adolescent girls and the pedagogy associated with their learning. Experience teaching English and Humanities will also be highly regarded. Must be willing to assist School Chaplain with School Chapel services if required.

The successful applicant must hold Queensland College of Teachers registration and be willing to have their name submitted to the Anglican Church’s Professional Standards Register. Evidence of COVID-19 Vaccination is a current requirement of the Public Health Direction in Queensland in Schools and ECS settings.
