An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled project support manager to join the HR Projects and Governance Team based at Alexandra Park in St Helens, Merseyside. The role is full time, although applications for part time working will be considered. The post holder will be responsible for the System Wide Training Passport (STEP) project, supporting the Trusts Education performance for trainee doctors as part of the Lead Employer service to support the completion and monitoring of Core Skills mandatory training
The post holder will provide operational project management support, both generally and for specific time-limited projects, within the Enabling Staff Movement Programme. Reporting into the HR Projects and Governance Team the job will take a business focussed approach. The post holder will monitor the KPIs, ensuring targets are met by liaison with the relevant team member, and report on the data produced.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as part of a team to ensure that the project is delivered in line with the business case and agreed outcomes and KPI’s. The post holder will be responsive and innovative in meeting performance and quality targets/standards.
The Post holder will be expected to exercise initiative, prioritise conflicting work demands and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with the multi-disciplinary team, internal departments and external partners to ensure continuity in achieving excellent patient care.

KEY DUTIES
Utilising effective change management, people management and project management skills to implement the projects
Oversee performance management systems to ensure services meet agreed KPIs including engagement, communication around digital passporting solutions
Analyse and use performance management data supported by business intelligence models to inform and improve service delivery.
Providing support to enable services to develop a project management approach within projects
Contribute to and support the implementation of service redesign to support current and future business requirements.
Support the team in the production and implementation of administrative business continuity plans.
Participate in process reviews to develop streamline processes and ensure they are effective.
Provide data to support the team in business case preparation.
Producing and Monitoring of data from the passporting system
Build and run analytical reports from the passporting system
Co-ordination of the allocation of workload both internally and externally.
Analyse data to produce performance reports ensuring KPIs are met.
CLINICAL & PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Support service reviews: contribute to deciding and implementing appropriate action to improve service delivery, clinical outcomes and patient experience.
Support the use of research and evidence based learning to improve the quality of the service to the patient.
Ensure incident reporting and complaints management procedures are followed and used as a learning opportunity. Ensure appropriate actions are taken to inform changes to service delivery and reduce risk of recurrence.
Work with managers and colleagues to continually improve the quality of services within the overall governance framework.
Work with managers and colleagues to identify, manage and minimise risk within the trusts Risk Management Framework.
Contribute and support the implementation of service redesign to support current and future business requirements.
Support patient and public involvement in the way services are planned, developed and provided.
Support the transition of new services into the Trust.
Exercise delegated authority from and support the team, to resolve day to day issues for all aspects of the project
Maintain own continual learning/ development.
ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES / LINE MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in the recruitment and selection of staff.
Responsible for initial stages of disciplinary procedures, personal development, management of sickness absence and allocation of responsibilities of staff.
Motivate, encourage and engage teams and individuals to achieve and embrace organisational objectives, Key performance indicators and new ways of working.
Maintain and seek to improve communication channels with commissioners, staff, patients and other stakeholders even where substance of the communication may be difficult or contentious.
Ensure all staff receive and contribute to the trusts communications. Holding appropriate and constructive meetings in keeping with project plans, good workforce management practice and requirements from the radiology management team.

Ensure learning is kept up to date and internal and external learning is attended in line with the job requirement. Ensure learning is shared.
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Develop team awareness of cost effective service provision
Demonstrate and awareness and contribute to the implementation of the car group cost improvement programme.

Essential criteria
Degree level qualification and/or equivalent qualification and/or equivalent experience
Management, professional or other recognised academic or vocational qualification
Evidence of further study and professional development to post graduate diploma level and /or equivalent experience
Desirable criteria
Data analyst qualification or equivalent experience
Knowledge
