Role Purpose
We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and organised individual to join our team as a Group HR Advisor. We are about to go through an exciting phase of development where you will play a fundamental part in supporting us with this.
The ideal candidate will be CIPD Level 5 qualified or have the willingness to work towards this qualification through an Apprenticeship programme.
Working closely with the HR team and the wider workforce, in liaison with the HR Manager, the Advisor will deliver a comprehensive solution-focused HR service that is value added and is in line with Hospice strategic aims, objectives, business plans and policy. Varied and HR Generalist in capacity. Provide advice and support to staff throughout the Hospice Group. To provide an encompassing HR service throughout every stage of the employee’s experience throughout their employment life-cycle. To ensure that managers and employees are equipped with best practice to foster a high performance culture and support Organisational Development throughout.

Having a CQC rating of outstanding, St Giles Hospice is a registered charity providing high-quality medical and nursing care for local people living with cancer and other serious illnesses, as well as offering support for their families and helpers. Care is offered in a variety of ways according to the individual’s needs and are offered out in the community as well as from 3 sites, an Inpatient Unit at Whittington, Day Unit Facilities at Sutton Coldfield and Uttoxeter.
We receive funding from the NHS but primarily we rely on fundraising activities and legacies, together with trading activities, 21 Shops, Lottery and Other Trading to support our work. We employ 300 people across a broad range of roles; from direct patient care to fundraising and administration as well as support from 1000 volunteers to help us provide and support our services.
