The Company

Our client is a privately owned company with two business streams! Audio Visual solutions and Sheet Metal manufacturing. Established 20 years ago, the business has grown substantially over time by delivering first-grade products and unsurpassed customer service. This combination of quality products, along with a constant desire to grow and improve has helped them become one of the most prominent providers of audio-visual solutions and TV lift cabinets in Australia for residential and commercial purposes.

The Role

This is a challenging, hands on role in which the successful applicant will provide and lead the delivery of financial expertise, advice and support to management and directors. There will be a key focus on maximising profitability, continuous improvement both from a financial and a business process point of view and efficient management of all administration functions. As mentioned above, there are two companies in the group with different financial and administrative needs.

Key responsibilities include:

• Provision and management of accounting services

• Delivery of financial and operational reports for business performance

• Management and cost accounting to support improved manufacturing

• Maintenance and enhancement of efficient business processes

• Administrative management of all business support functions including office management

• Purchasing
• Cost evaluation of changes to goods or services provided
• Comparisons and reporting of actual costs vs budget
• Management of inventory, freight and accounts payable/receivable functions

The Finance and Administration manager

Our client needs a professional who can hit the ground running. Consequently, light manufacturing, import and supply chain costing experience, financial accounting and experience in the management of administration functions are essential. The successful candidate will possess:

• Qualifications in a finance or accounting related discipline
• Tertiary qualifications in accounting or other related commercial disciplines
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of ERP systems, accounting systems and MS Office Suite
• Strong commercial acumen
• Commercial acumen that is supported by acute attention to detail
• flexibility, resilience and adaptability
