Reporting to the College Accountant, the Payroll and Finance Officer is a key position requiring confidentiality and discretion and working closely with the HR Manager, Conference and Catering Manager, Accommodation Manager, the College (Academic) Office as well as the wider community. This is a fantastic opportunity working in historic and picturesque surroundings located just off the High Street in Oxford and close to the river, Covered Market, buses, shops and cafes. The train station is only a 20-minute walk away.
The Payroll and Finance Officer will support the smooth running of the central payroll function for approxiamately 170 staff as well as a range of other financial administration responsibilities. They will also provide cover for other staff members, in particular purchase ledger, sales invoices and cash book duties.
The successful applicant will have previous payroll experience, a knowledge of accounting principles and procedures have excellent communication, written and analytical skills and be enthusiastic and self-motivated.
