Duties/Responsibilities

• Provide patients’ personal hygiene by giving bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, and shaves; assisting with showers and baths.
• Provide assistance with daily living by serving meals, feeding, ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; providing fresh water and nourishment between meals.
• Provide adjunct care by administering nonsterile dressings, surgical preps, ice packs, heat treatments, sitz and therapeutic baths
• Maintain patient stability by checking vital signs and weight; testing urine; recording intake and output information.
• Provide patient comfort by transporting patients, answering call lights and requests and ing observations to nurse.
• Comply with safety regulations and use of equipment for patient care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation timely.
• Perform all duties and procedures as defined and authorized by Kentucky Board of Nursing (KBN) under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.

Education

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Experience

None required.

Licensure/Certification

State Registered Nurse Aid (SRNA) or actively enrolled and have completed 1st semester of LPN or RN Nursing school
