St. Clair College is seeking an experienced and motivated professional who shares our commitment to quality and student success.
POSITION SUMMARY
The incumbent is a member of the Registrar’s Office Customer Service team who is the main contact for student inquiries. Main responsibilities include all aspects of customer service, registration, student records, cashiering, & fee assessments. The incumbent must also have working knowledge of related operations such as drops/adds, withdrawals, transfer credits, Second Career, clinical clearances, & processing transcripts. A strong knowledge of College regulations as well as policies & procedures is required.
CORE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Information Resource 30%
The incumbent acts as a resource person and key point of contact. The incumbent provides feedback, recommendations, and problem-solving to students and administration regarding registration, records, fees, policies, procedures, etc. as they directly, or indirectly relate to the Registrar’s Office.
Registration 30%
The incumbent will provide assistance in all College activity (ex. Post-Secondary, Continuing Education).
Contributes to the achievement of the Registrar’s Office goals and objectives.
Admissions 15%
The incumbent is responsible for the processing & answering of questions of new applications at the Front Counter.
The incumbent will have knowledge of college program admission requirements and know where to locate such information.
Student Records 15%
The incumbent will be responsible for the repairing, maintaining, and processing of student records and withdrawals.
Cashiering 5%
The incumbent will be responsible for identifying and solving fee assessment/payment problems, collecting student fees, balancing and reconciling fees at the end of each business day, issuing “Student Bills”, and offering discounts to those who qualify (ex. Senior, Staff discount).
Other duties as assigned 5%
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of a 2-year Ontario College Diploma in Office/Business Administration, or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the College system, working knowledge of Peoplesoft and
Student Information System, and possess outstanding customer service skills. The incumbent must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all College activity, including detailed program and course offerings.
