Our Preschool is looking for a passionate and professional preschool teacher who can inspire and develop the minds of children. As a preschool teacher, you should be able to engage children by creating a positive environment where children play and learn together. You will be responsible for creating fun activities based on the curriculum, such as story telling and organizing age appropriate activities. Maintain good communication with parents on the progress of their children. Your goal will be to help all children develop socially, emotionally and cognitively while creating a safe and healthy environment.

Responsibilities:

• Teach children the fundamentals of science, language, math, reading and social skills.
• Assist in the development of motor and cognitive skills through hands-on activities.
• Help children establish good communication skills by encouraging communication between parents and children.
• Provide one-on-one attention to each child, as well as group instruction on topics like language development and art.
• Encourage children to learn through play.
• Create lesson plans to meet objectives and goals.
• Manage behavior by applying positive discipline techniques (e.g. positive reinforcement, redirection etc.).
• Manage classroom by keeping it clean, safe and organized at all times.
• Participate in meetings to discuss progress made on objectives and set new goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must meet the state licensing criteria by having 12 ECE units

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00 – $19.25 per hour

• 4 hour shift

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Preschool: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CPR Certification (Preferred)
• Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
