Based in our Melbourne office, you will be a key member of the IT team and be the first point of contact for all IT-related requests. You will be responsible for provisioning hardware, installation of software and ensure support tickets assigned are handled effectively and swiftly.

About the role:

Reporting to the IT Helpdesk Team Leader you will be responsible for:

• Receive and respond to incoming calls, help desk tickets, and/or emails regarding PC and/or hardware problems of both onsite and offsite team members.
• Work with end-users in analysing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware/software and some basic network support issues.
• Assisting with onboarding and support of new employees.
• Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, printers and scanners.
• Maintain and update existing documentation, including user guides and IT processes.
• Research,gather and form documentation from collected information to IT related topics.
• Perform ad hoc tasks when required by the Management team.

About you:

As a Helpdesk Support Officer, you will ideally have:

• Recently completed or are studying towards completion of an IT related discipline.
• Full working rights in Australia to apply.
• Ability to work well in a team environment involving collaboration within the department and with other departments.
• Knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems, peripherals and computer hardware.
• Knowledge of Windows 10, Linux, Microsoft Office Suite, Windows Active Directory and virtualisation would be highly regarded.
• Strong troubleshooting capabilities evidenced by organised, analytical thinking, and problem solving.
• Excellent attention to detail and organization skills.
• Strong verbal and written skills.

Salary: $51,911.00 – $63,447.00 per year
